ilex | Fairytale Project: Snowdrop

Back in October, Garden of Shadows had the dual theme of Rock 'n' Roll and Mythology/Folklore. I was, of course, thrilled. After squealing in joy for about fifteen minutes, spending another hour figuring out which direction I would take, and getting started on a huge fairytale-inspired set of outfits for all ages and both genders...

Real Life got in the way.

So three months later, I'm finally posting "The Fairytale Project."

Snow White creeps me out. Maybe it's the damn forest from the Disney movie. Maybe it's the Neil Gaiman short story "Snow, Glass, Apples" (hint: it's probably that one).

But most of all, I find her frustrating. Not just for the squeaky-Disney voice, either.

It's the name. The damn name.

See, I grew up with The Briar Rose Book of Fairy Tales, which had gorgeous illustrations by Arthur Rackham. That book called her Snowdrop, so I call her Snowdrop. Because Snow White is another fairy tale entirely (you'll see, once I get my act together and make that post). But of course everyone else knows the movie, and so I tend to get weird looks when I refer to the fairy tale as "Snowdrop."

Which is a long way of saying, "This download is called Snowdrop. FUCK YOU DISNEY."

This set only has two recolors: silver and gold, pictured here:

Textures are by Sherahbim and Iosiren, with a (tiny) bit of handpainting by me. It's for adult females (everyday, formal, sleepwear). The mesh by Aligeth isn't included, but you can get it here at ModTheSims.
